13th Street. The Action and Suspense Channel-Hamburg

I found this ad on thecoolhunter.net. There were tons of ads that were very interesting, but this one specifically caught my eye, and for good reason. To promote the Crime and Thriller Channel on 13th street, the bathroom of a nightclub in Hamburg, Germany was especially made. Upon entering the room, the lights suddenly go out. Black lights turn on revealing a bloody crime scene on the floor and walls. Then on the mirror it says, "See what others don't see. 13TH STREET. The Action and Suspense Channel."
If I happened to walk into a bathroom to find this, I probably wouldn't even make it to the stall in time to do my duty. Not only is this engaging the target audience, but the fear factor being used causes people to talk about it. Soon enough, word will spread about the bathroom advertisement and people may come to the nightclub just to experience it for themselves. This is a method of advertising that is so rare and intriguing, it is bound to leave an astonishing mark...if not a puddle on the floor.

What my "brand" is all about

My Values:
I value my hardworking attitude and my consideration towards my ideal. My ideal is who I am striving to become, my best self. It is how I envision life and its meaning. I am constantly working to become more outgoing, more creative, more empathetic, more respectful, more faith-filled, and more honest. I purposefully step across my comfort zone because I know that it will help me reach my ideal. I value myself, and what I stand for.

Some Things I Love:
I love the Big Man upstairs. I love my family and friends. I love meeting new people. I love spring, flowers, the smell of rain lingering in the air. I love doodling. I love love love sports, especially volleyball. I love pictures; taking pictures, being in pictures. If a camera is around, I light up. I love organization. I love clothes that most people would think were very strange. I love challenging myself with a goal, and the feeling when I accomplish it. I love giving gifts. I love living. I love laughing. I love loving.

Some Things I Hate:
I hate when people text during church. Being stressed, rushed, and late are all things that I cannot stand. I hate worrying because I do it too much. And I hate that nasty thing called cancer.

I Am Insanely Great At:
I found my niche in creativity. Through art I can channel my thoughts and feelings through a paintbrush onto canvas with ease. Speaking in front of a crowd is a breeze for me. I am great at including others and making them feel welcome. I am a very accepting and understanding person.

I Am Most Proud Of:
My accomplishments. I am a state medalist in speech, one-act, volleyball, and track. I am also almost too proud of my older sister, Natalie. As a Harvard grad student she is on her way towards finding a cure for Alzheimer's diseases. My hero. :)

Who I Want To Be:
I want to reach my ideal and be remembered.

What Is Important And Valuable To Me:
My faith is so important to me. It keeps me sane. It comforts me. It gives me direction. It helps me to let go, and keep living.

I Would Like To Be Known For:
Always being a friend. When people hear my name, I want them to smile.

Hello all...

My name is Emily and I am a freshman an the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with an Advertising-Art double major. I grew up in the small town of Humphrey, NE. Never heard of it? Most people haven't, but I must say, it's pretty much bomb.com. In high school I was involved in practically everything, but I found my passions in volleyball, art, and keepin' it real with the "Big Man Upstairs".
My hardworking attitude has carried over to my college career, and if you know me, you are well aware of the fact that I am never "just relaxing". Studies, Delta Gamma, working at an elementary school, intramural games, art projects, and just life in general constantly keep me busy, but I am lovin' it...because I am livin' the life!

Advertising 251

As an assignment for my advertising class we were asked to set up our own blog. Well, here we go...still unsure of what exactly I should write about. So, I'll do what I always do in awkward situations: tell a joke.

What do you call a nosy pepper?

Jalapeno business!!
